Red, visible blood vessels, spider veins, broken capillaries produce unaesthetic, unhealthy-looking pink skin. These vascular conditions usually appear on the face, where the skin the skin is thin and translucent.
SPIDER VEINS

With the development of laser technology, specifically, Intense Pulsed Light, these lesions are reduced significantly by laser therapy. Laser light stimulates the closure of visible vessels, effectively shrinking it away from the skin surface, leaving skin with its natural colour tone.

However, treatment of vascular lesions cannot be accomplished without producing some epidermal damage. The desired result of laser treatment is an immediate colour change of the vessels being treated. These vessels will gradually fade within 1014 days leaving skin with a normal appearance.

In areas of sun exposure, pigmented lesions and sun damage may be removed as a beneficial side-effect. Therefore, some initial darkening of the skin may be expected in the first few days following treatment (see Pigmented Lesions).
As with any laser treatment, a mild sunburn-like sensation is expected for 224 hours. Mild swelling and/or redness may accompany this, which usually resolves in 23 days. The procedure is virtually pain-free, requires no topical anaesthetic and no down-time. A reduction of the target blood vessels is evident within 12 weeks of treatment. Vessels of a larger diameter may require additional treatments for sufficient reduction. If you have unsightly veins on your face, come in for a free consultation.
